Financial Advisor to People & Businesses for Over 20 Years

Katnryn AmentaKathryn Amenta Financial Advisor helps individuals, couples and business owners come to terms with the underlying beliefs and money behaviors that have caused their financial problems. It’s a financial strategy she’s shaped for over 25 years, starting with transforming her own financial problems.

Prior to launching Kathryn Amenta Financial Advisor in 1994, Kathryn was a project manager with Merrill Corp. in San Francisco, coordinating large corporate, private and municipal financings. She held management positions at Charles P. Young and Merrill Corporation, and was an investment advisor for Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith and Davis Skaggs & Company. She earned her psychology degree from Mills College, did graduate studies in business at the University of California and is a graduate of the Financial Recovery Institute. She pursues ongoing and continuing education in the areas of psychology, finance, couples counseling and family counseling. Kathryn has assisted in numerous collaborate and mediated divorce cases. She is a member of several professional study groups in the fields of financial planning and collaborative practice. She holds professional memberships in the Financial Planning Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire and Collaborative Practice San Francisco.

Kathryn is an educator for Henry Ohloff Houses in San Francisco and Marin County, and has worked with the San Francisco Youth Credit Union. An author and public speaker, she has been a featured presenter for the Financial Literacy Project in Mountain View, CA, the National Association of Financial Planners, Resourceful Women and Merrill Lynch’s Women in Transformation seminars. Her articles have been published throughout the San Francisco Bay area. She has appeared on KBZS-Business Radio and has made numerous appearances on KFOG-Radio.
